Tasting & Dinner With Top Shelf WinesSome of Mat's formative years were spent in St. Charles, Illinois. This scenic area, along the Fox River west of Chicago, holds a special place in his heart. Join Mat as he returns to this area for a tasting and dinner at Top Shelf Wines, the Fox River Valley's leading wine retailer. Plans are still in the works, but this much we know: Mat will be in the store for tasting in the afternoon, and then will host a wine dinner at the Elgin Country Club. TOUR OF THE NORTHERN RHÔNE WITH MAT GARRETSONThe Northern Rhône Valley is home to some of the finest wines on this planet. Mat has a great many friends in the region, and has asked them to open the doors of their cellars and vineyards to 30 lucky Club Members. Each day will find this group touring, tasting, feasting and celebrating. It's a great way to learn first-hand why Mat was so drawn to this region and its wines.
We'll have use of our own motor coach for the week, and will stay three nights at the Hotel Beau Rivage in Condrieu, then two nights in the Hotel Pavillon in Tain Hermitage. During this time we will visit the cellars of such producers as Guigal, Cuilleron, Gerin, Gaillard, Vernay, Clape, Graillot and Chapoutier. All-inclusive packages are available, or - should you choose - make your own airline arrangements, and purchase a 'France only' package. To ensure that this trip is an intimate one, it is limited to the 30 first reservations. A deposit of $500 per person is required to reserve your space.
